MPOGCF had today successfully handed over in full, its funding of the upgrading works for the Ape Centre at Zoo Negara, amounting to a total of MYR 1 million.
The cheque was handed over to Deputy President of Zoo Negara, En. Rosly Rahmat Ahmat Lana by Finance and Administrative Manager of MPOGCF, En. Mohammad Rizal Othman, as witnessed by the Management team of Zoo Negara as well as delegates from MPOGCF [𝘱𝘪𝘤𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦𝘥].
The strategic partnership between Zoo Negara and MPOGCF will see a vast improvement of the Ape Centre as part of MPOGCF’s initiative in positive messaging as well as collaboration in branding and promotions, to continously communicate, educate and raise public awareness (CEPA) amongst others, on orangutans and the conservation of this protected, umbrella species.
Following today’s handover, MPOGCF will be working closely with Zoo Negara towards the relaunch of the newly upgraded Ape Centre and educational activities on orangutans that will involve various stakeholders and school children.
